This is a lovely place for children to come and play and run around. The entrance to the adventure playing field is along Church Lane and parking is at the Parish Hall. Please note that unfortunately we cannot admit dogs.
Ellastone Playing Field Committee is always looking for new members to help with the management of the field and play equipment. The time commitment is minimal but can be rewarding, working to support such a lovely village resource.
Visit the Ellastone Playing Field Facebook Page to find out more!

Thank you so much to all of those that attended the village planting of two commemorative trees, which took place on Wed 30th October.
A fantastic turnout, on what was a gloomy October day, also thank you again, in no particular order to: Lichfield Diocese (rep. by Ms Julie Jones), Rev Brian Leathers, Ellastone Playing Field CIC for agreeing to the trees being planted on the playing field, to Ellastone PCC for the use of St Peter’s Church for refreshments, to those that made the superb cakes, Carol and Margaret and to both Ed and Rose Barker for bedding the trees in, great job!
Our generous sponsors: Roston Castings Ltd. M.G. Simister and Son Ltd, The Duncombe Arms, along with two private donors.
Thanks also to Woodgrow Horticulture Ltd for their advice, hard work and expertise.
Crocus and Daffodil bulbs were planted at the base of the trees by the children present, kindly donated by Fairways Garden Centre.
We feel both delighted and proud, enabled by the generous support of others, that these two commemorative trees will mark for what we hope will be a very long time, HRH Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, (for the late Queen we planted an Acer Campestre – Field Maple), also the coronation of HRH King Charles III (for King Charles we planted a Fagus Sylvatica – Common Beech).
The village marked a little bit of history today, for tomorrow…
